CurrentlyCurrently: A random list of all the things currently going on around here...nothing too serious, but a good snapshot of the current state of affairs. LOVING: School Schedules. Don't get me wrong, there have been some growing pains involved, but I love a fresh new year filled with school supplies (tell me I'm not the only one that thinks about the line from You've Got Mail where she says she'd send him a bouquet of freshly sharpened pencils?) fresh clothes & yes, even alarm clocks. I wince when I hear the alarm, but I am so much more productive on a schedule & as such I'm embracing it. DREAMING: About construction being done on this house. In case you missed it on IG stories, we're adding some square footage to make this floorplan a bit more functional with the addition of this new baby. While not 'necessary' when we bought this house, we knew that if we ever had another baby, this floorplan wouldn't be ideal. Fortunately, we've figured out a way to make it perfectly perfect and even though I thought I knew what I was getting myself into...it's still been a frustrating process at points. I'm so grateful we are able to make the changes we want & I know it will be amazing once it's done, but like with most things, I want to skip the hard stuff & get to the point of rugs + light fixtures + art work. WEARING: I'd mostly like to be wearing nothing at this point, but I'll spare you that visual. Loose dresses, I can't wait to have a waist again...even if it's bigger than it was before.
READING: Just finished The Secret Keeper & I'm going to be honest here, it wasn't ever an 'easy' just-can't-put-this-thing down read for me. Have you read it? Was it for you? Regardless, I had had it recommended so many times, that I made myself finish and holy heck, I'm so glad I did! Need another...whatcha got for me??? WATCHING: I'm currently obsessed with The Profit. It's super nerdy, but if you like Shark Tank, you'll probably love this as well. It focuses on one business and really delves pretty deep into the issues and the solutions. Plus, it's kid-friendly in that there usually isn't inappropriate language. Anyone else struggle to find shows beyond dance/singing/talent show that are family friendly? WORKING ON: Meditating. I've known this is a good thing for me for 9 months or so, but haven't found a good rhythm or approach yet that I love. I've done Headspace and really really loved it, but I seriously avoid subscription services like the plague. Soooo I've been researching other approaches. I'll let you know when I find something I love. Mostly, I just love sitting in the quiet each morning with my thoughts. LISTENING TO: Amazon Music. Am I the only person that didn't realize you could stream commercial free with Prime membership? OR that you could download playlists to take on the road ??? Game changer. My current list mostly contains Garth Brooks oldies...I've even got my kids loving The Thunder Rolls. One of these days I'll catch Max singing it for you around the house...it's pretty awesome. THINKING ABOUT: So. Many. Things. We've got lots of decisions on the table right now and hopefully soon we'll have some clarity on them, but for now, just a lot of thinking. I'll keep you posted here soon. WISHING: I could always live in a state of faith as opposed to fear. I've found myself being hesitant on some things again, which is an indicator that I'm fearful, trying to work my way out of that space. DOING: Making room for baby. This has been a longer process than I initially imagined, but in the end I think we are going to LOVE the changes we're making to this house of ours...I'm just hoping we get to live in it long enough to really enjoy it (see 'thinking about') NEEDING: A good good book...you know the fiction you just can't put down? The kind where you're so engrossed in it, when someone interrupts you it startles you and takes you a minute to realize the gripping story you were just reading isn't really happening right now, in front of you? One of those would be great. PLANNING: A weekend trip to San Antonio. Tell me all your favorite places to eat, do or see, please! SINGING: Garth Brooks everything. On our family trip this summer, I educated my children on the greatness that is Garth Brooks...turns out I can still belt out any song at any time, no problem. EATING: Blueberry bagel, toasted, with strawberry cream cheese. Hits the spot every time, along with vanilla ice cream & fresh raspberries. I might have more weight to lose after this baby than normal. Eek. ENJOYING: School days. With all 3 in school together my days are free as can be! While it was hard to send my baby off, he loves it & frankly, I'm going to soak in these days before this baby gets here. EXCITED ABOUT: Baby. Everything baby. I cannot believe I get to do this again. TRYING TO: Remember this pregnancy will be over in no time. The aches, pains & lack of clothes will all be behind me soon SHOPPING FOR: A few baby things I still need. My stroller came this past week and I'm in love (thanks mom & dad!). Still need a carrier of some sort, mostly so I can bring this baby to work with me ;) and a rocking chair...

Hi, I'm Amy. When I'm not scouring the valley for the perfect new house, you can usually find me in the kitchen with a gaggle of kids. Chips, salsa and a Diet Coke are usually in hand. Categories
